SECOND CONTEST 3 August, 2003 Our second Club Contest was more successful, with OK waves making up for the monsoon storms. Despite rain squals, the beach was crowded - a tribute to the strength of Phuket Boardriders' growing Club spirit.The Kamala contingent of 20 arrived in their own bus. A few competed but most were there to gain insight for the formation of Kamala Go Surfing Club and their first contest. Winners of the Shortboard Division were Dan, Chalong, Tom and Mark. Longboard winners were Jim, Mr T, Jean-Pierre and Iris. Sanuk Division winners were Nai, Tat, Max and Moto. The Presentation Party was sponsored jointly by the Club and the VIP Bar (recently renovated and renamed Baha Beach), where over 80 people enjoyed free food and drinks. |
